INFORMATION AND CAREER GUIDANCE CELL (ICGC) JAWAHARLAL NEHRU COLLEGE Introduction The Information and Career Guidance Cell (ICGC), Jawaharlal Nehru College, was established in the year 2000 in association with Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati provided initial training to a group of teachers as a faculty development course. The training programme provided inputs among teachers about developing Entrepreneurship ability in students. The cell was initially inaugurated by Dr. D. D. Mali, Former Director, I.I.E. on 18th August, 2000. Aims and Objectives 1. To provide information on various career and various Govt. policies for self-dependence among the college students and the local youth. 2. To provide updates of changing pattern of job opportunity and expanding field of career choices. 3. To arrange seminar and workshop to keep the students aware about various competitive exams. 4. To provide the students consultancy on their queries about career and further studies. 5. To provide pre-examination training for interested students for competitive exams. Moto It is knowledge which liberates us. ICGC is for knowledge and self-determination.
